in tetrahydrofuran; pentane under N2 atm. to soln. Ph2GeH2 in THF was added dropwise soln. t-BuLi inpentane at -40°C and stirred at -40°C for 25 min, Me3SiCl was added dropwise, cooling bath was removed, mixt. was stirred for 24 h; aq. soln. NH4Cl was added, Et2O was added, layers were separated, aq. layer was extracted with Et2O, exctracts were washed with brine, H2O, dried over MgSO4, filtered, evapd., residue was distilled in vac., recrystd.from acetone/MeOH at -40°C;
