<p>由邻硝基甲苯经氯化而得。邻硝基甲苯经氯化所得的油状产物含约15%未反应的邻硝基甲苯,30%的4-氯-2-硝基甲苯,50%的2-氯-6-硝基甲苯及5%的多氯化合物。将油状物进行高效减压蒸馏,收集118℃(1.33kPa)馏分(尽可能蒸净)后,冷却余物,析出4-氯-2-硝基甲苯,离心过滤得成品。</p>

<p>在染料合成中是冰染染料红色基KB和色酚AS-KB的重要原料。</p>
