cyclopenta-1,3-diene in ethanol byproducts: trans-3,4-diethoxy-1-cyclopentene, trans-3,5-diethoxy-1-cyclopentene, cis-3,5-diethoxy-1-cyclopentene; soln. of cyclopentadiene in EtOH added with stirring to soln. of CuBr2 in EtOH; reacted at 20-80°C; CuBr, three diethoxycyclopentene isomers, trans-3-ethoxy-4-bromo-1-cyclopentene and trans-3-bromo-4-ethoxy-1-cyclopentene obtained;
