byproducts: CH3OC6H4CCC6H4OCH3; under dry N2 atm.; to stirred soln. of Mo complex and alkyne in CH2Cl2 added Fe(C5H5)2PF6; soln. heated under reflux for 4 h; solvent removed (vac.); solid washed (Et2O); residue redissolved in CH2Cl2; filtered through Celite; Et2O added; cooled to -20°C; second purification using CH2Cl2-Et2O gave crystalline; elem. anal.;
