NaOH in methanol; acetonitrile byproducts: O2; under N2; the 2-butanone and tris(2-aminothyl)amine were dissolved in methanolic soln. of NaOH, cooled to -30°C, a soln. of FeCl3 in CH3OH (-30°C) was added, followed by addn. of a soln. of NaB(C6H5)4 in CH3CN; the mixt. was filtered, the volatiles were removed in vac., the residue was dissolved in CH3CN, filtered through Celite, (C2H5)2O was added, ppt. was formed after 24 h; elem. anal.;
