zinc in ethanol a mixt. of RuCl3 and ethanol was stirred for 2-3 h at 20°C; cyclopentadiene (frehly distd.) was added; Zn powder was added gradually (temp. < 30-35°C); the mixt. was stirred at 20°C for 3-4 d; ppt. filtered off, washed (hot C6H6 on filter); filtrates concd. (vac.), chromd. (SiO2, C6H6);
