hydrogen in neat (no solvent) byproducts: Nb, NbH(x); heated in H2 atmosphere at 200°C, then in HF-H2 mixture within 2-3 hours to 560-580°C; kept at this temp. for another 5-6 h; cooled from 200°C in H2 atmosphere;; by-product NbF5 sublimes to cooler parts of the reaction tube, residue Nb and/or NbH(x);;
