ammonium chloride in tetrahydrofuran (N2); soln. of Sn compd. was added slowly to suspn. of Li, temp. was kept below 5°C, mixt. was allowed to warm up to room temp. within 3h, then soln. of methallyl chloride was dropped into mixt. within 1,5 h, temp. was kept below 0°C; soln. was hydrolyzed with aq. NH4Cl soln., aq. phase was extd. with ether, org. phases dried (Na2SO4), solvent removed and residue distd.;
