1-iodoundecane in N-dodecane Kinetics; Transferring of metal hydride, 6-bromo-1-hexene and solvent to react. tubes (flushed with argon and chilled in ice bath), degassing (freeze-thaw), sealing of tubes (vac., liq. N2), keeping in const.-temp. bath (273-338 K).; Quenching by immersion in liq. N2, addn. of 1-iodoundecane, detg. of abs. yields by GLC anal. of react. tubes with benzene as integration std., no redn. of 6-bromo-1-hexene obsd. after GLC anal. of a ref. tube not subjected to react. conditions.;
