in tetrahydrofuran stirring suspn. of all substances in abs. THF for 4 h; ppt. sepn., washing (THF, water and ether) and drying gave AuCN; soln. dild. with petroleum ether and cooled to 0°C; ppt. sepn. and washing with petroleum ether gave Au-complex;

in tetrahydrofuran addn. of Au-complex to soln. of org. compd., stirring (4 h); ppt. sepn., washing (THF) and drying gave AuCN; all solns. evapn. to dryness, residue extn. (benzene), ext. evapn. (dryness) gave C6H4CH2C5H2Ph2, residue extn. (benzene) and repptn. from acetone by hexane gave Au-complex;

in tetrahydrofuran; toluene addn. of soln. of C2(CN)4 in abs. toluene to suspn. of Au-complex in abs. THF, stirring 4 h; ppt. washing (CHCl3, acetone and ether) and drying gave AuCN; residue dissoln. in acetone, diln. with petroleum ether; ppt. sepn. and washing (pentane) gave mixt. of other Au-complexes; mother soln. dild. (petroleum ether), ppt. sepn. and drying (vac.);
