in chloroform-d1 the Pb-compd. is stirred in dry CDCl3 at 60°C for 3 days; the ppt. is allowed to settle and analysis of the supernatant soln. by 1H.NMR, analysis by GLC, the crude product obtained on evapn. of the solvent is fractionated by HPLC in ethyl acetate-light petroleum to yield the butanone-compd.;
