dropwise addn. of 4 equiv. of Ph2MeSiLi in THF to the white suspn. of the Pd(II) compd. and PPh3 in THF (room temp., under Ar), decompn. of excess SiLi compd. by addn. of EtOH, removal of solvent and volatile by-products, addn. of EtOH to the residue; filtration (fine frit), washing (EtOH, Et2O, pentane), drying (vac.);
