anthracene; magnesium in tetrahydrofuran byproducts: Mg acetylacetonate; Sonication; addn. of anthracene and MeI to Mg under inert gas, mixt. is stirred for 2 h at 20°C, sonicated for 3 h in an ultrasonic bath (35 kH), heated with stirring to 60°C, addn. of cyclopentadiene, then of the Co-salt during 20 min; cooled to 20°C, filtn., evapd. to dryness (vac., 30°C), residue is taken up in pentane, filtn., washed (pentane), cooled to -80°C, dried (vac.);
